And why would we? – the Linux organization does not have the bank balance to finance Hollywood style adverts – remember Microsofts Jerry Seinfeld ad campaign? $10 million for what? Well, that’s all about to change as the Linux foundation have announced five finalists who have made adverts for their ‘We’re Linux’ video contest. I must admit, they probably aren’t TV ready…..yet. Portable Ubuntu is great application for Windows. Period. If you want to use Ubuntu but not go through the dual-boot process, then Portable Ubuntu is great. 

Portable Ubuntu is a stand-alone package that runs a fairly standard (i.e. orange-colored, GNOME-based) version of the popular Ubuntu Linux distribution.
