The UP300x features a built-in motion sensor that allows for hands free operation (volume adjustment, fast forwarding/rewinding etc – lots of head nodding for that I guess), up to 8GB of flash memory, WiFi b/g, USB port, and two Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries. It supports WMV9, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 video files, and MP3, AAC, WMA9 audio files. Compatible with HTML 4.01, JavaScript, Flash Version 7, other media contents are downloadable from Nikon’s service.

I say it’s a wearable computer as the device can download content directly from the internet using the onboard WiFi – thus it’s possible that you could access the internet directly but I imagine that it would be difficult to do so.

From the above photo, you can see it incorporates a tiny fold-down VGA display which is the equivalent of looking at a 50in screen from 3 metres. This looks like a great piece of kit – though you won’t look like the coolest person in the world when trying to fast forward through a movie on a train. Called the DreamTrooper due to it resembling a Storm Trooper helmet, this SEGA Dreamcast portable is fully-functional, complete with an illuminated logo. Though cramming the system in a Lazer Doodle case was complicated – the GD-ROM drive had to be hacked apart, but in the end everything fit together beautifully and even included a 5000maH Ni-Mh rechargeable battery.

One slight worry is that there’s no GD-ROM drive cover, so be very careful not to send the disc flying when the gaming action gets intense!!!

The portable integrates a Sony PSOne 5 inch LCD screen, an InterAct Quantum Fighterpad controller, stereo speakers and a battery pack which allows for about 2.5 hours on a single charge.

However, I may have to take that back seeing as an ever greater gizmo has been found! Take a look at this.
